Cara Debbaudt, Matthew Krajewski, and Patti terHaar founded Bling Dream through family, friendship, a shared vision, and of course, a love of jewelry.

Matthew had been engaged for over seven years, but had not yet received his engagement ring. His partner, Ryan, wanted Matthew to have something custom that reflected his personality. From Matthew’s experience designing Ryan’s ring, he found jewelry stores to be cold, high pressure, and overly gender conformist. So for years, he avoided getting his own ring.

Enter Cara to save the day! Her family has been working with gemstones for years, and she partnered with Matthew to design a custom piece with her Mom and her contacts in the diamond market. As they were designing his custom ring, they both realized that others would probably love this tailored approach to getting just the right piece of bling. When Matthew received his ring, he couldn’t believe the quality, caliber, and beauty of his perfect engagement ring. And thus, Bling Dream was born.

While passion fuels their mission, Cara, Matthew, and Patti bring over 35 years of experience in retail, product, design, user experience, recruiting, and entrepreneurship to their company. Their mutual affection for helping others and designing ideal experiences has made building Bling Dream a joy.
